The classic material for pipe installations
Many plumbers still rely on copper. Geberit Mapress Copper is very easy to press – without soldering – and it’s quick and safe to install.
The only items Geberit offers in copper are fittings. These can be combined with commercially available copper pipes. Different seal rings are designed for specific applications.
Geberit Mapress Copper is suitable for a range of gas applications. For use with fuel gases, we offer a complete range of pressfittings with yellow seal rings made of hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (HNBR), yellow mark and yellow protective cap.

Geberit Mapress Copper is commonly used for drinking water installations.

Motor fuels and oils
Geberit Mapress Copper can be used for mineral and lubricating oils as well as motor fuels.

Industrial gases
Geberit Mapress Copper (Gas) has all the approvals required for fuel gases in accordance with DVGW G 260.

Compatibility with copper pipes
The only items Geberit offers in copper are fittings. These are suitable for the following commercially available copper pipes. Geberit recommends using copper pipes that comply with DIN EN 1057.

- Pressing indicator to check whether the fitting has been pressed correctly
- White pressing indicator for copper material marking

- Blue FKM seal ring and black protective plug for use with oil-containing media and other special requirements.

Seals
Available seal rings
Other seal ring materials are used for special applications. Geberit also offers a wide range of fittings with premounted seal rings. This saves both time and effort during installation
and allows the standard O-ring to be replaced with a special seal ring.
Seal ring CIIR, black
Geberit Mapress Copper with black CIIR seal ring can be used for the following liquid media:
- Hot and cold drinking water
- Cooling and heating water without antifreeze agent
- Cooling and heating water with antifreeze agent
- District heating water ≤ 120 °C
And for the following gaseous media:
- Compressed air (oil purity class 2–3)
- Negative pressure
- Inert gases (e.g. nitrogen)

Seal ring FKM, blue
Geberit Mapress Copper with the blue FKM seal ring boasts excellent temperature and chemical resistance and can be used for the following media:
- Thermal medium (solar)
- Compressed air (oil purity class 0–X)

Seal ring HNBR, yellow
Geberit Mapress Copper with the yellow HNBR seal ring can be used for the following fuel gases:
- Natural gases
- Liquefied gases
A yellow mark and yellow protective plug help differentiate Geberit Mapress Copper Gas fittings from the other fittings.

Can Geberit Mapress Copper be combined with other materials?
Geberit offers various adapters for other piping systems, including Geberit FlowFit and Geberit Mepla. We do not advise using Geberit Mapress Copper with other materials.
Does Geberit also offer copper pipes?
No. Geberit Mapress Copper includes a wide range of fittings. We recommend using these fittings with pipes that comply with DIN 1057 in the R220, R250 and R290 strengths.
What applications is Geberit Mapress Copper suitable for?
