Geberit Connect Operate sanitary facilities centrally
The Geberit Hygiene System and its individual hygiene flush units provide tailored solutions for maintaining drinking water quality in any drinking water installation. With Geberit Connect, these units can be easily operated from a central location – saving both time and operating costs. Not only does Geberit Connect help ensure optimal drinking water hygiene throughout the building, it also provides valuable data to support and optimise ongoing building maintenance.
All it takes to connect the hygiene flush units is a single Geberit Gateway, which connects to the units and sensors via Bluetooth® or cable. The system is controlled via the free Geberit Control app. For added flexibility, Geberit Connect can also be integrated into building automation systems.
Geberit Connect offers the ideal solution to suit any project and budget.
Good reasons for Geberit Connect Your advantages
Central Operation
Central access to flush logs, settings and usage data with reduced time expenditure.
Lower water consumption
Optimized water consumption through on-demand flushing for regular water exchange.
Temperature control
Temperature logging in the drinking water network and automatic flushing when critical temperatures are reached.
Well connected
With Geberit Connect, sanitary rooms can be connected to a building automation system.
Areas of application

Schools and kindergartens
Especially in building types with highly fluctuating usage, all taps can be flushed in a consumption-optimized manner.

Airports, hotels, industrial and office buildings
Geberit Connect increases operational reliability by providing a central overview of system functions. In the event of any malfunctions, the operator receives immediate notification so they can be rectified.

Hospitals and care facilities
Due to the stricter requirements for drinking water hygiene, Geberit Connect offers increased safety through temperature control via various flush programs for the piping network. Evidence of flushing and temperature profiles can be provided without significant time expenditure.
Advantages of Geberit Connect
Thanks to Geberit Connect, the operation and hygiene of sanitary facilities can be ensured easily and conveniently. Facility managers and building operators benefit from this.
Operation with less time expenditure
All end devices are networked with the Geberit Gateway, which can usually be installed in the utility room or in an easily accessible location. This gives the operator central access to the end devices, which may be distributed throughout the building.
Using the free Geberit Control app, users can centrally control all devices and access flush logs and other measured values. These logs provide evidence of regular use and water replacement of the drinking water pipes.
This can reduce both costs and time, and even complex buildings can be operated efficiently with fewer staff.

Optimized water consumption
The use of GEBUS sensors enables targeted flushing based on recorded usage.
Thanks to the flushing modes that detect and measure usage, regular water exchange can be achieved with reduced drinking water consumption.

Connection to a building automation system
Geberit Connect provides a BACnet/IP interface for building automation, allowing all relevant end devices to be monitored and controlled.

High planning flexibility
Individual solutions for every budget
A comprehensive range of solutions can be integrated into the Geberit Connect system, optimally meeting different functional and budget requirements. At the same time, automatic water exchange is possible at all draw-off points.

Flexible Flushing
The networking enables the use of additional flush programs and various combinations of these programs. Up to 60 flush programs can be implemented per Geberit Gateway. By using Geberit temperature and flow rate sensors for GEBUS, temperature- or flow-dependent flush programs can also be used flexibly for different tapping points.

Temperature control in the pipeline network
Easy temperature control
The Geberit temperature and volume flow sensors for GEBUS enable monitoring of temperatures, water consumption, and volume flows in the Geberit Connect system. The sensor log can be accessed at any time via the Geberit Control app.
Automatic flushing at limit temperatures
If specified temperature limits are exceeded or undershot, pipe sections can be automatically flushed. This can be done via any tap connected to the network. The GEBUS sensor can be positioned flexibly.

Optimal drinking water hygiene
Easy temperature control
The networked extraction points can be activated simultaneously to flush the pipeline network particularly efficiently.
Automatic flushing at limit temperatures
Through comprehensive monitoring and a high degree of flexibility, operators can adapt and optimise measures depending on changing operating conditions, such as when switching from summer to winter operation or a change in use.

Optimization of building maintenance processes
By collecting usage data – such as the number of flushes, usage, temperature profiles and/or volume flows – necessary measures for building maintenance can be taken and optimized.
The insights gained from documenting the data allow for a review of the dimensioning, which can be adapted in future projects if necessary.

High operational reliability of the sanitary facilities
Central overview of the status of all end devices
Without having to manually check each individual device, the user can easily view the status of all devices centrally with the Geberit Gateway in the Geberit Control app on their smartphone.
Minimal downtime through fast notification
In the event of malfunctions or errors, the on-site technician is automatically notified via email and can resolve the issue immediately. This reduces downtime and ensures smooth operation.

No continuous costs or need for cloud connectivity
There are no recurring fees for Geberit Connect. All data is processed locally, eliminating the need for a cloud connection. This ensures maximum data security and independence.

Optimum drinking water hygiene despite irregular use
Nuremberg Messe uses Geberit Connect to manage its sanitary installations and ensure drinking water hygiene. It successfully handles the challenge of fluctuating visitor numbers and usage patterns.

Improving the customer experience in public toilets
At the FMZ shopping centre, Geberit Connect collects usage data to streamline cleaning and maintenance schedules and keep the sanitary installations running smoothly at all times.

Centrally operated hygiene flush units for drinking water
At the Heidenheim dialysis centre, the individual hygiene flush units in both the apartments and the dialysis area have been connected using Geberit Connect. This facilitates centralised operation and reading out of the hygiene flush units.
Easy connection of Geberit Connect to a building automation system
The data points of all devices connected to Geberit Connect are available for integration into a building automation system.
The BACnet objects can be used to read device status and meter readings or to trigger flushing.

BACnet objects from Geberit are BTL-certified
To ensure smooth integration of BACnet objects into building automation, it is important that the BACnet objects conform to the general standard. The BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL) tests these for conformance and interoperability in accordance with the industry standard test suite.
Using BTL-certified products minimizes integration time and costs into a building automation system. They also provide a solid foundation for future system improvements and expansions.
The BACnet interface of the Geberit Gateway has been certified by the BTL.

BACnet objects for integration into the building automation system
For integration into a building automation system via BACnet/IP, an EDE (Engineering Data Exchange) file is required. The EDE file contains all BACnet objects of the Geberit Gateway and the associated end devices, grouped by zones. The EDE file is generated after commissioning and can be downloaded in CSV format via the Geberit Control App and the Geberit Gateway.
The following tables provide an overview of the available BACnet objects per device in the EDE file. More detailed descriptions with object names, types, and instances can be found in thes system manual.
